The camera comes equipped with a wide angle 3.6mm fixed lens for a fantastic overall view of your surroundings. At night, you will be able to see and record up to 50 feet in complete darkness. If you have lights outside at night, you will be able to see as far as the light shines. If you need to see farther in complete darkness, then you can install an optional IR illuminator for longer distance up to 300 feet.
